ROOK

Rook grew up at the edge of a forest that isn't on any map. Some stories begin as memories; this one began as a sound — something heard beneath the ground on the nights no one else was listening.

No one knows for certain who Rook is, and that's the point. What's certain is that Aldmoor doesn't quite feel invented. The characters arrived fully formed, as if they had been waiting. The story is written down rather than made up — chapter by chapter, like something dug out of the earth.
